Blues Moon Radio and WUSC-FM's semi-annual fundraiser week: Oct 26-Nov.1 - Howl-o-ween Spooktacular

Boo! Did I scare you?

WUSC-FM's semi-annual fundraiser week: Oct 26-Nov.1

Blues Moon Radio's Howl-o-ween Spooktacular FUNdraiser:
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 6-8 p.m. ET/USA (-5 GMT)

As always, thanks for tuning in to WUSC's Blues Moon Radio show.
Each week, we bring you hundreds of dollars worth of great, obscure, unique, unusual, fabulous, collated, compiled and curated Blues music you are unlikely to hear anywhere else.

Twice a year we ask those who can donate to support our efforts to raise operational budget monies to keep us broadcasting and streaming over the air. Many of you do, and we appreciate that so much. My Blues Moon listeners have long been the backbone of the fundraisers with a large portion of the support coming from our generous, wonderful listeners - I cannot thank you enough.

This year, as a festive thank you to our regular and occasional donors, I've lined up a Moanin' Howlin' Black Cat Bone Spook-o-Ween show to delight and horrify you - we have some Voodoo, too... just for you!

Please call 803-576-9872 to pledge during the show; you may also pledge securely online at WUSC-FM: http://wusc.sc.edu/?page_id=15 - please be sure to select WUSC as the target by following the sample photo on the right.

If you can, please post a note to the WUSC_FM page or the Blues Moon Radio page on Facebook that you listen to and support Blues Moon Radio, I'd appreciate it. There is a station designation, but no individual show designation marker, on the online donation page, so that's the only way you can show your support for my show (and others you enjoy) to keep them on the air.

Five reasons why you should donate to support WUSC-FM:
  1. It is our fall fundraiser week! You can donate anytime, but now is when you get thank you goodies!
  2. WUSC’s mission is to bring you the best in music that you might never hear otherwise - we don't play Top 40, and work to bring you the best in genre radio from all the best artists.
  3. We need to raise $14,000 dollars this year - $6K this month! Frankly, I'm a little nervous about that. Please help!
  4. We are funded in part by the university, but we rely on community and listener support. Without you, our generous listeners, WUSC wouldn’t be able to keep bringing you the unique and wonderful array of music you have grown to love for nearly 75 years - for most of you... just PART of those 75 years - and more than 25 with Blues Moon Radio (what? I'm only 26 years old myself!).
  5. WUSC and Blues Moon Radio are so appreciative of how generous our listener community is and always has been - we have special thank you items for your happiness and pleasure:

The thank you giveaways from the station include:
a. $25 – pen
b. $50 – pen and car decal
c. $75 – pen, decal, and key chain bottle opener
d. $100 – pen, decal, key chain bottle opener, pint glass

I'll add a small art print from my personal art collection for donations over $50 (but you must call in the pledge - otherwise I'll never know) and a poster of the cover of my new book, South Carolina Blues, for those who donate $100. Donations of $150+ receive both prints, AND they will be signed by me and "paw-tographed" by RockyDawg, Blues Defender, my co-author.

Thanks for your support!

Now that the money ugliness is out of the way, on to the fun part! Here are the spook-a-licious songs I'll be pulling from - because this is far too many for one show, donors may select a song they would love to hear!

But call me Tuesday at 803-576-WUSC (9872) and please give as generously as you can!
