Drink Small, the Blues Doctor
Tonight's show is very special to me... I'm honored to share the microphone with none other than Carolina's own Blues Doctor, Drink Small, and in so doing, share him with the world now that his travel has been curtailed somewhat by illness.
All the artists were selected by Drink and between sets we'll discuss the artists. This show was recorded on Father's Day (June 15th, 2014) at Drink's house while his wife Drina cooked up some great vittles. Her culinary delights are immortalized in song (Fish Fryin' Mama) and is our featured Drink Small "cut of the week." A sweeter woman could not be found.
We'll finish off the week with our birthday artist of the day, Coot Grant, and more from our Artist of the Month, Howlin' Wolf. One last Drink Small song will air, if we have time.
