Columbia Blues Festival 19 line up and link

Here is a little snippet - a teaser, if you will - for tonight's show. It features one of the most interesting interviews I've done in the past 25 years. Tune in tonight on the radio to hear a fabulous interview with Sonny Landreth, and hear his music along with many of the artists who will be playing at the 19th Annual Word of Mouth Productions' Columbia Blues Festival this Saturday, Nov. 9th. Sonny is just ... special! What a great spirit and attitude he has - I was so impressed with him as a person!

Playlists below:

The following artists/bands will be played in connection to the Columbia Blues Festival. We regret that we did not receive materials from every artist scheduled in time for tonight's show. Some artists' earlier work is represented in other bands.

Thanks to everyone who gave so generously all last week to WUSC FM Columbia during our semi-annual fundraiser. We do this for you, and could not do it without you!  If you haven’t yet, you can still donate using the university’s secure online site: ... link to it through www.wusc.sc.edu and THANKS again!

We appreciate YOU tuning in to (w)US(c)! You are the best listeners EVER!

BE A PART of the upcoming book, SC Blues!

Please note that I will be at the Blues Festival with my trusty portable scanner ready to scan your images of Blues in South Carolina for consideration of inclusion in my forthcoming book, "South Carolina Blues" - due to be on the bookstore shelves this time next year!

Please bring any visuals you have (flyers, posters, snapshots, photos, and ~legal~ paraphernalia) from the music world of Blues here in our fair state. We are looking for materials that are crusty, musty and dusty and have a connection to the genre of Blues and related styles in our state going back to the 1600s - and hopefully more than a couple of decades old (no later than mid-90s, please). Black and white photos are fine; condition is not an issue. Be a contributor to an archival quality book - your photos will not be harmed, they do not have to leave your possession and will be returned to your hands immediately - your name will be in a book - and that doesn't happen every day, so join in the fun... gather your photos now!

People, places, clubs, venues, festivals, road restaurants; Blues, early R&B, Gospel, Gullah, meeting houses, religious connections... we're open to it all... it is a visual book and we want it to feature images that no one else has, so they can be shared in perpetuity... HISTORY! It's amazing... be a part of it...

If you cannot make it Saturday, contact me via Facebook at @Blues Moon Radio or via e-mail at clearbluesday@yahoo.com. There will be other scan days in the next few months. Thanks!
