Blues Moon Radio Playlist for Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Last week's show theme was "WILD"... and while we toned it down to reflect a viewpoint of historical happenings on today's date through the years, it won't be tame by any means.

We'll have some birthday tributes - one in particular features our dear friend and Carolina Bluesman, Nappy Brown whose birthday would have been this week, were he still here with us.

Then we'll talk about cake and its role in history - some military maneuvers that made the news on this date long and even longer ago... and then we'll commemorate some October 15th birth and death dates of Bluesmen.

Let there be Antacid: 2008 – The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 733.08 points, or 7.87%, the second worst day in the Dow's history based on a percentage drop. GULP!

By the way, October 15th is Global Handwashing Day (International) – so wash those dirty paws, will ya?
Did you know? According to leading health authorities (including the Centers for Disease Control), washing your hands well and often is the second best way to prevent transfer of the flu virus - of course, the first is taking the flu vaccine.  Keep yer mitts clean!
Stay well, Blues fans!
