Celebration of 22 years on the air with Blues Moon Radio

Tonight's show celebrates a couple of anniversaries for me... moving to S.C. a thousand years ago as well as - most importantly - the start of my radio show in summer of 1990.

Happy Summer, all y'all... my favorite season. I love to be warm and I love to swim, so... there you have it.

I wonder if my radio show at the University of South Carolina qualifies for some type of degree... people usually graduate after 21 years, right? Anyway, hope you will tune in from 6-9 p.m. ET each and every week... "see" you on the air or over the 'net! And ... THANKS for listening and having been a part of The Blues Moon with Clair DeLune!  Clair and Rocky-Dawg, Blues Defender

*** From All About Jazz: During the 1930s, Sykes performed with sidemen ranging from jazz drummer “Big” Sid Catlett to slide guitarist James “Kokomo” Arnold. He also performed solo piano pieces. A genial man with a vibrant personality, Sykes was the consummate entertainer. He delighted audiences both in Europe and the United States with blues and ragtime-influenced songs filled with risque humor. He also happened to record one of those risque LPs in Columbia, S.C.
