Blues Moon Radio Show Nov. 30, 2010

We will be playing lots of newer music this week on the Blues Moon - and I'm specially dedicating this show to a wonderful friend who is having a birthday tonight: Rocky Faith, the Rock Doc! Happy birthday and thanks for your help and inspiration over the years in regard to music... and life!

I am not certain what the schedule will be for the college break period. Based on the dates - as I interpret them against my calendar - I might use this opportunity for a brief hiatus to catch up on music projects that are starting to hear the tick tick tick of the deadline clock. I'll keep you posted.

Next week's show will be a humdinger, too... Interviews with Jay Gaunt and Taylor Moore... and (wait for it!) the Christmas special!

Tonight we'll be hearing from:

The Delta Flyers - 61 Highway Blues
Bob Corritore w/Koko Taylor - What Kind of Man is This?
Eric Lindell - Tried and True
Hollywood Blue Flames w/ Kim Wilson - You're Sweet
Kenny Neal - Old Friends
Elvin Bishop - Clean Livin'
Chris Cain - Tomorrow's Gonna Be a Better Day
Davis Coen - Better World
Mitch Kashmar - We're Sittin' Home Tonight
Janiva Magness - You Sound Pretty Good
Rory Block - Shetland Pony Blues
Sean Chambers - All the King's Horses
Bnois King and Smokin' Joe Kubek - Wishful Thinking
Otis Clay - Piece of My Heart
Toni Spearman - Boogie at Stokies
Toni Spearman - Can't Get No Lovin' Over the Telephone
Little Milton - I Can't Quit You Baby
Peter Lang - Brownsville Road
Bull City Red - I Feel Like Shouting!
Tune Weavers - Your Skies of Blue
Slim Saunders - Let's Have Some Fun!

Hope you can catch some of the great Blues going on... Weds at the Cellar in Spartanburg (Blues Jam w/Rickey Godfrey); Blue Martini Blues Jam on Thursday (Vista in Columbia SC); Dec. 5 - Toni Spearman at the Abbeville Opera House; Awendaw music festival this Saturday in... Awendaw (all in SC/USA). Take part in live music. Get off your sofies. You'll thank me later.
